Description<\/h4>\n

Typical Burgundy-style village built with houses that have been demolished, restored and then rebuilt here. Discover the building techniques of the Val de Sa\u00f4ne from the 18th and 19th centuries, while walking around the farm, conservatory orchard and vines, via the wine-grower\u2019s sheds, all in these lush-green grounds covering five hectares.<\/p>\n

It all began in the 1980s, when a few fans of history and rural heritage decided to safeguard and enhance the last of the traditional constructions in the Val de Sa\u00f4ne. They created an association which would work to repair the most ancient buildings, acquire them and then move them to the available land.<\/p>\n

Each house was demolished, to then be rebuilt in exactly the same way. To do so, the volunteers numbered all the building materials, took photographs of them, and recorded them all before demolishing each house. They were then rebuilt using only the techniques used by builders at that time.<\/p>\n

Today, other than the fifteen or so buildings that make up this collection of everyday objects, furniture, tools and ancient farming machinery, they have also used this land to plant some ancient grape varieties and a conservatory orchard.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text el_id=”para2″]<\/p>\n

    Site is accessible all year round.
